and services required to complete the installation of the
roof accessories as shown on the drawings and/or herein
specified. |

SUBMITTALS
Submit manufacturer's catalog cuts and shop drawings for
approval prior to order. |

WARRANTY
Provide the General Contractor with a five (5) year
manufacturer's warranty. Installation of an OSHA compliant
roof access hatch safety railing system shall not void
warranty. |

Industries roof access hatch (size as indicated on
drawings). Frame shall be 14 gauge galvanized steel and
shall have a 12" high curb, 3 ½" pre-drilled
mounting flange, 1" fiberboard insulation, integral cap
flashing and finished with a Federal Safety Red powder coat
finish. All hardware shall be corrosion resistant and all
fasteners shall be self-locking type.
Cover shall
be 14 gauge galvanized steel with a 22 gauge galvanized
steel liner with a core of 1" rigid foam insulation. |

Cover
operation shall be assisted with a compression spring and
include a hold open arm with vinyl grip to lock hatch in the
open position, locking devices having an inside and outside
handle and inside padlock hasp.
Roof hatch
curb shall be compatible to accept the OSHA compliant
KeeHatch™ Railing System (Model to match TriStar Skylights
Model) as manufactured by David/Randall Associates, Inc.
Cover shall
be mounted to a heavy duty hinge & pivot pin and have a
continuously extruded EPDM gasket around entire perimeter
under cover. |

OSHA
compliant roof hatch safety railing system as required by
OSHA Standard #1910.23 and 1910.27. Safety railing system
shall include all hardware for a complete installation. |

3/EXECUTION |
| 3.01 |
INSTALLATION |
|
Securely
install to roof deck as per drawings and manufacturer's
approved shop drawings. If applicable, install KeeHatch™
Railing System in accordance with manufacturer's recommended
installation guidelines to insure a weather tight
installation. Test roof hatch for proper action after
installation.
